Class Description: What is the purpose of obtaining a Payment and Performance Bond? Why must Retainage be withheld from the contractor? What do you do if a subcontractor or supplier files a claim against the bond and retainage? What steps must you take before you can release the retainage to the contractor? What is the impact on public agencies of Substitute House Bill 1555 approved by the Legislature last spring? We will address these and many other issues through a combination of lecture, class interaction, and small group exercises.
Class Schedule:
- 4 hour training class
- Starts at 10:00 a.m.
- One hour lunch break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Class continues at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.

- $100 Early Bird Registration Deadline: Monday, February 15, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
- $125 Standard Registration after February 15th until February 23rd at 5:00 p.m.
